The cemetery office remains open to serve the public. We are currently meeting clients outside of the office to maintain physical distancing and conducting as much paperwork and payments electronically as possible. We are available for pre-need and at-need sales of full burial and cremation lots, niches, monuments, markers, cemetery lettering, flower pots and monument saddles.

The North gate entrance closest to the cemetery office is open to vehicular traffic, the other 2 gates will remain closed at this time so we may continue to monitor the number of visitors coming and going from the cemetery.

The staff at the Lakefield Cemetery have also made the difficult decision to postpone Decoration Day which normally falls on Father’s Day to later in the year depending on the forthcoming provincial allowances for gatherings. You may still place flower pots and other decorations at any time. On Father’s Day weekend we may choose to close the North Entrance and only allow visitors to walk into the cemetery to ensure that no gatherings are occurring and people are maintaining physical distancing.
We ask that you please bring your own water and container for watering as the taps will not be available for public use to limit the spread of COVID-19. You can contact the cemetery office to arrange watering for the summer, pricing is $20 per pot or 2 for $30. Payment can be made by e-transfer or visa/mastercard over the phone, or in person at the office by cash or debit.

The cemetery is also open for monument deliveries and cemetery inscription work but many of these services have been delayed due to the provincial COVID-19 restrictions in place and supply chain delays or shortages. Please expect at least an 8 week delay on all monument, marker and inscription orders.
For the most up to date information please call the cemetery office at 705-652-3252 or follow us on Facebook.
We wish you and yours health and happiness and thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
